Hot Sunny Days

Cancun and the Riviera Maya benefits from a gargantuan 240 sunshine days per year! This means that you can always be sure of getting your vitamin D fix when you vacation here; and if you are planning a wedding, pretty much any time is a safe bet. The long days are a year round thing with them hitting 13 hours long in summer and 11 hours in winter. This isn’t just good for your sunbathing aspirations and party plans, such long, sun-drenched days work wonders for those who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, otherwise known as SAD. How hot does it get in Cancun and the Riviera Maya?

Unlike some super sunny destinations, Cancun and the Riviera Maya doesn’t become oppressively hot at some times of year (trust us when we tell you to run from Arizona in summer as fast as you can). Temperatures generally range between 66 and 91 Fahrenheit with lows of 57 and highs of 93 (those being 13, 33, 14, and 34 respectively in Celsius)

With only 40 rainy days per year (on average) Cancun and the Riviera Maya provides you with the best chance you have at a rain free vacation. And even if you do get a few rainy days tropical rain storms blow over quickly, in general, and the rain is much warmer than you might be used to.
